(ABC 6 News) -- A Stewartville man was arrested for driving under the influence after authorities saw him walking away from the cab of his semi-truck, which was left in a ditch.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. on April 16, Olmsted County deputies saw the cab of a semi-truck, with no trailer attached, in a median near the 6300 block of Highway 14 West.

52-year-old Joe Siem of Stewartville was seen walking away from the vehicle.

When deputies tried to speak with Siem they said he was incoherent.

Deputies searched the cab for any records that would state if Siem had a medical condition. Instead, deputies said they found drug paraphernalia and 3.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Authorities said Siem was given and failed a standard field sobriety test and was taken to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center.

Siem currently faces a fourth-degree DWI charge.

Authorities said charges could change following the results of a blood draw taken at the Adult Detention Center.
