Livestock semi crash in Mower Co. kills 20 hogs, driver not hurt

(ABC 6 News) – The Mower County Sheriff’s Office said approximately 20 hogs were killed when a livestock semi-trailer crashed Thursday night.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 200th St, or County Road 3, and 640th Ave for the one-vehicle crash. The driver told deputies he had taken the corner too close causing the trailer to roll into the ditch.
Around 170 hogs were in the trailer at the time of the crash. Approximately 20 hogs died.
