Fatal two-vehicle crash in Mantorville late Sunday morning

(ABC 6 News) -- Minnesota State Patrol says 58-year-old Mark Johnson of Owatonna, MN, has died after a fatal two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 16 and Highway 57 late Sunday morning.

According to the MSP incident report, Johnson was driving a 2014 Honda Accord east on County Road 16, while Bradley Schmidt of Hayfield, was heading north on 57 in a 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche. That's when the two vehicles collided. 


Schmidt had two female passengers with him, Danielle, 20, and Mary Schmidt, 58. All of whom sustained non-life threatening injuries.

According to the report, the road conditions were wet, but everyone was wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not involved.


(ABC 6 News) -- Minnesota State Patrol says there was a fatal two-vehicle crash on MN Highway 57 at 600th St. in Mantorville late Sunday morning.

An ABC 6 News reporter was at the scene of the crash and saw two vehicles in a ditch. 

We are told that more information about this crash will be available Sunday afternoon. 

An investigation is ongoing.
