(ABC 6 News) - Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees has a new public trustee, Douglas M. Baker, Jr., CEO of Ecolab Inc.
Baker has been with Ecolab since 1989, became CEO in July of 2004 and chairman of the board in May 2006.
Ecolab is known as a global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources.
"Doug is an outstanding leader who brings decades of successful national and global leadership to our board," says Gianrico Farrugia, M.D., Mayo Clinic's president and CEO. "Doug and Ecolab lead with innovation. We’re honored to have him join as a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees."
The Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees is a 31-member group of public representatives and Mayo Clinic physicians and administrators responsible for patient care, medical education and research at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota, as well as Mayo Clinic Health System, a network of clinics and hospitals serving more than 60 communities in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
