Chester Woods Park celebrates 25th anniversary with free park entry

(ABC 6 News) - Chester Woods Park in Olmsted County is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Tuesday and to celebrate it's offering free entry to the park.

Olmsted County Park Superintendent Karlin Ziegler says many activities will still happen at the park but not all will be available due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are following guidance from the state level. Further, we want to ensure we have appropriate safety protocols in place before we reopen certain activities,” Ziegler explained. “The beach and beach house will be closed for the whole summer. Campgrounds will open on June 1. We hope to offer watercraft rentals to some degree and will keep our website updated as we have more information.”
