(ABC 6 News) -- A 16-year-old teen from Hampton, Iowa was extricated by Hanlontown and Clear Lake firefighters after he lost control of his vehicle, entered a ditch and struck an electrical pole.

Cerro Gordo County authorities say the crash took place on October 24, around 6:00 p.m. at 310th St. near Grouse Ave. in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Authorities say the vehicle also hit a field fence.  

The driver was taken by ambulance to MercyOne Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
