Charles City woman pleads not guilty in deadly head-on collision

(ABC 6 News) – A Charles City woman charged with killing two people in a head-on collision in Floyd County has entered a not guilty plea.

Casey Jo Lindahl, 28 of Charles City, pleaded not guilty to two counts of homicide by a vehicle operating under the influence.

Court documents state that on September 4, 2021, Lindahl crossed the centerline and collided with another vehicle killing 77-year-old Chris Andersen, and 76-year-old Anita Andersen, both from Mason City.

Documents state that results of a blood test indicated Lindahl had a BAC of .146%.

Lindahl and a 3-year-old who was was in the back seat of the vehicle were not seriously hurt in the crash.

A jury trial is scheduled for February 15.
