Bandit is a 9-pound rat terrier/chihuahua who was loved dearly by her owner.   Her owner has recently passed away and Bandit and two other dogs were entered into rescue.  This has been a tough transition for sweet Bandit and she mourned her owner dearly upon arriving at her foster home.  Bandit is learning to adjust and finds joy in going for a walk every day, cuddling on the couch, and she loves meal time.  She may trick you into putting a tiny bit of canned food in her dry to make her happy but she gets so excited when it is time to eat.  Bandit loves lounging on the couch or in the back yard.

Bandit gets along with other dogs well but doesn't care for hyper dogs in her face.  She gets along just great with the cat in her foster home. She gets free range of the house when her foster mom is at work and will cry or bark if locked where she can't see you.  She has some mild separation anxiety which may be from the recent trauma of losing her family.

Bandit would love a calm home with someone home often and who will walk her every day.  She will whine until you walk her.  She could walk for miles but would be content with just around the block.  We think she could live with kids but would probably prefer a quieter home.  She is friendly to strangers and will sit on their lap.  Bandit would like a patient owner who will give her the time to adjust and she will give you all the love in the world.

Bandit is 13 but you wouldn't know it.  She had a healthy vet check with blood work and a dental upon entering the rescue.  Bandit is eligible for the senior for senior program.
