Stewartville Public Schools moving to distance learning for K-12 grades

(ABC 6 News) - Stewartville Public Schools announced it will move kindergarten through 12 grades to distance learning starting in December.

Stewartville Public Schools will be in Distance Learning from? Wednesday,  December 2 through Friday, January 15 for Kindergarten through Grade 12 students?.  

Preschool classes will remain in session and transportation will continue to be provided.  The status of PreSchool will be reviewed each week.

School ?will not be? in session on Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1 for Kindergarten through Grade 12.  These two days will be used to allow staff to pivot to the Distance Learning model.  

"We understand how challenging this transition and situation will be for our staff and school community.  This was a very difficult decision to make.  We believe this decision is being made to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, students,  families, and those in our communities."
