(ABC 6 News) - Olmsted county currently has 159 active cases of COVID-19, and has seen 88 deaths since the pandemic began.

Overall, the county is seeing weekly cases decrease now for seven straight weeks.

The vaccine should continue to push those numbers in the right direction.  County health leaders want you to take advantage of every vaccine appointment program.

Right now, there have been 39,340 vaccine doses administered in the county, with a total of 27,118 individuals receiving both vaccinations.

"It's ok to be a part of several different options and we really want the community to know that we want you to take that first opportunity that you get to get vaccinated," says Shay Baumbach, Olmsted County Public Health.

OCPH has updated its website to include all of the local places that are offering vaccinations and the current requirements.
