(ABC 6 News) -- On Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Health says there are 1,704 newly reported COVID-19 cases and that 5 more people have died.

The number of new cases brings up the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 121,090. To date, 2,217 have died of COVID-19 in Minnesota.


MDH says there are 12,315 health care workers who have been infected with the new coronavirus. Officials note that health care workers are only counted once even if several positive tests are recorded for a person.

Health officials also report 2,477,132 COVID-19 tests have been completed.

There are 106,774 patients who no longer need to self-isolate.
