(ABC 6 News) -- On Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,321 new COVID-19 cases and 8 more deaths. The new number of cases brings up the state's total COVID-19 cases to 586,959. 41,868 of those people are health care workers.
One of those who died in the last 24 hours is an Olmsted County resident who is in the age range of 55-59 years old.
Health officials also reported that 7,224 people have died of COVID-19 in the state to date. 4,377 of those who died of COVID-19 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.
Officials also listed a total of 30,928 patients who have been hospitalized for COVID-19. 6,295 of those were hospitalized in ICUs.
There are 566,438 patients who no longer need isolation.
