(ABC 6 News) - Tuesday, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced that a COVID-19 legal information hotline is now open for Iowans experiencing legal problems due to the pandemic.
Reynolds said the service is being provided by the Iowa Legal Aid in partnership with the Iowa State Bar Association and Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project.
The number is 1-800-332-0419.
Reynolds also addressed questions on whether or not she will issue a Stay at Home Order saying, “I can’t lock the state down. I can’t lock everybody in their home. We have to make sure that the supply chain is up and going. We have an essential work force that has to be available."
The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 73 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 487 cases, and a total of 7 deaths.
IDPH also reported 268 COVID-19 patients have not been hospitalized and that 33 patients have been discharged and are recovering.
