(ABC 6 News) - The latest information as of January 22, 2021, on coronavirus in Iowa according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.

COVID-19 Vaccine as of 1-20: 

  • Total doses administered: 156,296
  • Series Completed: 16,854, 11% of total administered
  • 0.5% of the estimated total population of Iowa have been fully vaccinated*

Individuals with positive COVID-19 test: 310,596

  • 1,319 more positive cases reported today

Total Deaths: 4,478

  • 33 additional death reported today

41%, or 1,854, of deaths, are from long term care facilities  

1,439,746 total people tested

273,021 people have recovered 

22% of total individuals tested to date have been reported as positive 

450 patients are in the hospital

  • 89 patients in ICU 
  • 66 admitted in the last 24 hours

69 current outbreaks in long term care facilities
