(ABC 6 News) - Monday, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced details of a new public health disaster proclamation aimed at mitigation efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

"Right now the pandemic in Iowa is worse than it's ever been," says Gov. Kim Reynolds.

Effective midnight, November 17 and continuing until 11:59 p.m. December 10, all people 2 years of age or older must wear a mask or a face covering when inside an indoor space that is open to the public and within six feet of individuals who are not members of their household for 15 minutes or longer. 



The proclamation says restaurants and bars must close at 10 p.m., also bans indoor gatherings of more than 15 people and outdoor gatherings of more than 30. Exceptions for sports and religious gatherings. Bans group fitness classes.
