(ABC 6 News) -- Stewartville Public Schools Superintendent Belinda Selfors announced on Sunday that Bonner Elementary School will be closed on Monday due to a COVID-19 positive case at the school. 

Selfors said Olmsted County Public Health and Minnesota Department of Health officials notified the school district on Sunday of a positive COVID-19 case they are investigating. As a precautionary step, the school district is closing Bonner Elementary School on Monday, October 26. School officials also announced that Tiger Time at Bonner Elementary will also be closed on Monday.

Selfors also mentioned in her statement that they will notify families of their next steps.

Selfors added that all other schools in Stewartville will remain open on Monday, Preschool, Grade 2, Tiger Time and Tiger Tots will also be in session at Central Education Center.  Bear Cave Intermediate and Tiger Time at BCI will also remain open as well as the middle and high schools.
