(ABC 6 News)-- The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged down nearly 800 points on Tuesday amid fears of an economic downturn. The fears are led by low bank earnings and unresolved trade issues between the United States and China.
6:30 with Betsy Singer went in-depth on the subject with the president of a large investment firm to talk about why this drop is more significant than others.
"Yesterday, it was all resolved and today, well quite the opposite," said Spencer McGowan, president of The McGowan Group. "As institutions reduce exposures, it was pretty severe with a 3 percent drop on the big indices."
