169 small businesses in Olmsted County receive grants up to $25,000 each

(ABC 6 News) - A total of 169 small businesses in Olmsted County received grant funds from the over $3.3 million available through Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc. (RAEDI) and Rochester Area Foundation (RAF). 

The $3,388,968 in economic relief fund for small businesses and non-profits was announced in January. Grants of up to $25,000 have been awarded to local businesses, including: 

  • 74 are restaurants, bars, or other places of public accommodation.
  • 12 are indoor event companies or entertainment venues.
  • 10 are gyms, fitness centers, or other indoor or outdoor exercise facilities.
  • 4 are organized sports (adult and youth).
  • 2 are outdoor events or entertainment venues (non-drive-in).
  • 67 are classified as “other.”
