Ruby’s Pantry Austin begins its third year

(ABC 6 NEWS) – Ruby’s Pantry in Austin will begin its third year of distributing donated food to residents on Thursday afternoon.

The first distribution of the year is at the Mower County Fairgrounds. The drive-by distribution will go from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. or until they run out of items.

Ruby’s Pantry Austin has provided nearly 6,000 bundles of food to guests for a donation of $20 over the past two years.

Anyone is allowed to pick up food regardless of income or residence.

They are needing more volunteers for this year and they ask anyone interested to go to the fairgrounds at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
