(ABC 6 News) - A school bus driver has been cited for failure to yield the right of way after a car vs. bus crash Monday morning.
According to Austin police, the crash happened at 7 a.m. at the intersection of 4th Ave. NW and 2nd St. NW.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates the bus stopped at a stop sign then attempted to cross 4th Ave. NW and that the car's driver, who did not have a stop sign, didn't have enough time to avoid crashing into the bus.
There were 3 students, 2 adult student aids and the driver on the bus; only the driver was in the car.
Police said there were no serious injuries reported and nobody was taken from the crash by ambulance.
