It may seem like fall just started, but snow is already set to make an appearance in the Twin Cities.
Rain will continue overnight, and after midnight some snowflakes could be mixed in, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl.
The metro could see some flurries Thursday as well, as the area sees its coldest high of the season - 39 degrees.
It's not all bad news, though. The sun is expected to peak out Friday, and temperatures will climb back into the 40s.
Saturday will feel downright pleasant in comparison with sunny skies and a high of 52 expected.
