Raccoon Released after Scaling St. Paul Skyscraper, Reaching Roof

The raccoon that climbed a St. Paul skyscraper to the roof Tuesday was captured and released Wednesday.

The raccoon scaled the UBS Plaza building on Cedar Street in downtown St. Paul, capturing the attention of many.

After taking a break on a window ledge 20 stories above ground, the raccoon continued to climb, reaching the roof at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials were able to trap the raccoon in a cage and Wildlife Management Services released the raccoon Wednesday afternoon.
