Friday Stays Chilly, Warmth Returns this Weekend

It's the coldest morning we've had since March 14th, but warmer air is returning to the area.

Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow says the Twin Cities tied a record low Thursday night, a 12 degree low last seen on that date in 1945.

The chilly bite in the air will remain through much of Friday and there's a chance for flurries, but Barlow says this weekend will usher in a week of warmer weather.

Veterans Day temperatures are expected to get into the lower 40's, and there's a good chance we'll see the return of 50 degrees next week.
