UPDATE: Damages in Albert Lea fire could exceed $100k

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: Clearing-out is underway at the site of a weekend fire in Albert Lea.

Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Laskowske said Nasby’s Radiator and Auto Repair is still clearing out tools and equipment in the aftermath of a blaze that could cost up to $100K in repairs and replacements.

After the owner of the business determines what needs to be repaired or replaced, insurance will step in to calculate the damages and determine whether the structure is safe to use again, he said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

(ABC 6 News) – A fire broke out at Nasby’s Radiator and Auto Repair in Albert Lea Saturday morning.

The Albert Lea Fire Rescue and Police Department were able to extinguish the flames but damages are expected to exceed 100 thousand dollars worth of damages.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
