Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce hosts monthly women’s roundtable

(ABC 6 NEWS) – On Friday, The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its monthly women’s roundtable this time focusing on how to better handle stress.

The two guest speakers, Chris Armstrong and Malia Ray worked together to share their skills in handling stress.

Both emphasized the importance of building stress resilience.

"I feel like there are a lot of ways we can empower ourselves to move forward. but all the messages we get are about what is wrong instead of what is right then so when we can connect to what is right then we can really propel ourselves forward and that makes everything better for everybody," Owner of Chris Armstrong Yoga, Chris Armstrong said.

These women’s roundtables are a chance for women to practice skills, build relationships, and empower each other to take risks.

"Self-care is not selfish it is self-preservation and we all just need to take a little bit of time to care for ourselves cause in the long run that will have a lot of effect on our health," Internal Medicine/Lifestyle Medicine Physician and Owner of Raydient Wellness, Malia Ray said.

If you are interested in joining one of the roundtables they are every 3rd Friday of the month and are put on by the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.
