Mason City man charged with Kidnapping in the 1st Degree

(ABC 6 News) – The Mason City Police Department has arrested 23-year-old Moises Erreguin-Labra, and said he has been charged with Kidnapping in the 1st Degree.

The police department said Thursday afternoon law enforcement responded to a report of a person that had been assaulted and held against their will for several days by a man known to them.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital, and a search warrant was executed at a residence on the 400 block of 1st St. SW.

Erreguin-Labra was initially arrested for Serious Assault, said police, but was later charged with Kidnapping in the 1st Degree as the investigation developed.

He is currently being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
