GMLOK baseball takes care of business in doubleheader with Schaeffer Academy
NOTE: The final results of this doubleheader were released after ABC 6 News at 10.
Schaeffer Academy hosted GMLOK at Mayo Field with a small crowd in tow for a doubleheader.
The GMLOK Bulldogs won the first match 21-4 in five innings behind a no-hitter from Parker Johnson. He also threw five strikeouts and allowed three walks.
As for the second match, the Lions made things a little more competitive. Schaeffer Academy’s Minsoo Choung got a base hit to put teammate Matthew Gingerich in scoring position. Drew Merry followed that play up with an RBI single as Cole Morgan came to home plate.
The Bulldogs then allowed two more runs through walks before getting a handle on the situation, winning 8-5. GMLOK’s Noah Mundfrom threw seven strikeouts in four innings allowing three earned runs and two hits.
