Byron baseball shuts out Lourdes in rainy game to remain undefeated

(ABC 6 News) – April showers bring May flowers? It’s a saying most Minnesotans are hoping for as Mother Nature has put a damper on several baseball games in April.

Nevertheless, on Friday several area teams persevered through the rainy conditions and completed games.

The Byron Bears remained undefeated on the season when they beat Rochester Lourdes 8-0 at Mayo Field.

John Lutzi pitched 5 innings, only giving up 2 hits while striking out 9 batters as the Bears scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning.
