Brad Trahan files official paperwork in Rochester mayoral race
(ABC 6 News) – Longtime community member Brad Trahan filed official paperwork Thursday, to run for the mayor of Rochester.
Trahan was born and raised right here in Rochester and says he feels that there is a disconnect between the city government and the community. Trahan says he wants to change that.
"I’m going to support public safety, the local businesses community and make sure their voices are heard again," Trahan said. "We are going to put a sense of urgency in affordable senior housing. We are also going to bring back fiscal responsibility to our city’s government. I am also going to make sure we work with the trade industry."
Trahan is now one of three mayoral candidates. The other candidate is a former high school teacher and apartment owner, Britt Noser, and incumbent Kim Norton.
The election takes place in November.
