UPDATE: 16-year-old killed in crash in Manchester Township

UPDATE 9:10 a.m.

(ABC 6 News) - Minnesota State Patrol released the name of the 16-year-old girl who was killed in the deadly crash Monday afternoon.

Grace Elizabeth Zimmerman of Alden, Minnesota was driving the Ford Fiesta when it collided with the Peterbuilt semi Monday afternoon. 

The driver of the semi is Daniel Petracek, 57 from Waseca, Minnesota.

(ABC 6 News) -- More information is expected to be released Tuesday morning following a deadly crash in Freeborn County on Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Peterbilt Tractor was traveling north on Highway 13 and a 2019 Ford Fiesta was traveling east on County Road 14 when they collided in the intersection of Highway 13 and County Road 14.

The incident report indicates the road was wet at the time of the collision.

The Ford Fiesta was driven by a 16-year-old female from Alden, Minnesota. The Peterbilt Tractor was driven by a 57-year-old male from Waseca, Minnesota.

The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office, the Albert Lea Fire Department, and the Manchester Fire Department all responded in addition to the state patrol.

The state patrol expects to release more information on the incident at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18.
