Albert Lea's Interchange owner arrested in Clear Lake on outstanding warrants

(ABC 6 News) - The owner of Albert Lea's The Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro was arrested in Clear Lake, Iowa Thursday afternoon on outstanding warrants.

The Freeborn County Sheriff's office said Melissa Hanson was taken into custody Thursday around 3 p.m.

The sheriff's office said it along with the Albert Lea Police Department had both been doing surveillance of an Airbnb in Clear Lake where Hanson was believed to have been staying.

After she was seen leaving the Airbnb she was taken into custody and taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail. The Cerro Gordo jail tells ABC 6 News that Lisa has posted bail and has been released from custody. 

A warrant was issued for Hanson's arrest on March 10 according to court records. 

Hanson is facing eight misdemeanor charges of violating emergency powers as well as one misdemeanor public nuisance charge. Her trial is tentatively scheduled to begin July 20.

The Interchange shared a post on Facebook about Hanson's arrest shortly after the news of her arrest was made public.
