Alice Keefe is a born-and-raised Minnesotan. She left the land of 10,000 lakes for the Windy City to get her degree in journalism from Loyola University Chicago. She stayed in the Chicago for a year, post-graduation, on the assignment desk at CBS-owned WBBM-TV covering all kinds of breaking news, from crime, marches, and protests to the Final Four run of her alma mater.
In college, she interned in WBBM’s investigative unit using data to find conflicts of interest involving political contributions, campaign spending, and property tax assessments. Although she was sad to leave the Second City for her first reporting job, she couldn't be more excited to be covering news in her home state.
Since starting at ABC 6 in May 2018, she’s driven hundreds of miles through scenic southeastern Minnesota, rappelled down the U.S. Bank building in Rochester, and even held her first chicken. She’s already gone camping in bluff country and is looking forward to snowboarding during the snowy Minnesota winters. Alice has two younger siblings, in high school and middle school, who she’s happy to see more often since she’s moved back to Minnesota.
A lover of all things food-related (minus sushi), Alice is trying to eat her way through the state. Any donut recommendations? Shoot her an email: email@example.com.
