(ABC 6 News) - It's Weather Lab Wednesday. This month, Chris, Jim, and Cindy took the ABC 6 Weather Lab on the road to the Byron Primary Elementary School.

Nats: "3 -2- 1."

"Our ultimate goal is to push these students into a science related mind set hopefully that they love the sciences and continue to go after a science related job as they grow up," said ABC 6 Chief Meteorologist Chris Kuball.

Nats: "Yay!"

"Well you can teach science all you want out of a text or even in the classroom but actually doing the experiment part of it actually gives the kids a chance to see how science works and we show that a multitude of ways," said Kuball.

Nats: "Uh oh Uh oh what's happening?"

"And it really helps drive that point and engrain it into their brains that science can be awesome," he said.

Nats: (Air Cannons)

"And that they can have a fun time with science in school and not only that but after school as well."

There is still time to become an ABC 6 Weather Lab Assistant. Just go to our website at and pick an experiment. Then submit a photo and you could be chosen as our next winner next week.

The weather team will be back on the road once again next month... visiting Sibley Elementary in Albert Lea.
