(ABC 6 News) – The RCTC Yellowjackets junior college volleyball season came to an end on Saturday, but there’s reason for some members of the Yellowjackets to keep their heads held high.

The school announced on Monday sophomore middle hitter Brooke Wendland (Balaton, Minn.) and sophomore outside hitter Tara Rogers (Stewartville) have been named to the MCAC’s All-Southern Division team.

This season, Rogers led the MCAC in total attack attempts (1399) and finished 4th in the division in total kills (328).

Wendland led the Southern Division in kills (418) and total points (486.5). She totaled a team-best 16 kills in the Yellowjackets season-ending 3-1 loss to Ridgewater in the Region 13A Volleyball Tournament.

According to RCTC, the MCAC All-State team will be released in the “coming days.”
