(ABC 6 News) – In less than two months after long-time head women’s soccer coach Deb Hare stepped down from her position, the school has found her replacement.

The school announced this past weekend they’ve hired Bryan Weiss as the program’s next head coach. Weiss replaces Hare, who led the Yellowjackets to 210 wins in 19 years as the program's first head coach.

Per a release from RCTC, Weiss has more than 20 years of coaching experience—he recently served as the head coach of girls’ competitive club teams for the Rochester Youth Soccer Association, one of the largest youth soccer associations in Minnesota.

Weiss also has connections to Mayo High School, Century High School and Crossroads College, and currently serves on the boards of directors for the Rochester Amateur Sports Commission and the Southern Minnesota Adult Soccer Association.

"We are thrilled to have someone with Coach Weiss' passion for the sport and his dedication to his student-athletes take over our women's soccer program,” RCTC Athletic Director Mike Lester said. “These are tremendous shoes to fill, and I believe Coach Weiss is ready to continue and build upon the tradition and success of RCTC Women's Soccer".

"My family and I are thrilled to become members of the Yellowjacket community,” Weiss added. “I look forward to leading the women's soccer program in a way that reflects the tradition of excellence at RCTC.”
