(ABC 6 News) - Med City FC, Rochester’s National Premier Soccer League team, will hold tryouts for their 2018 team on Saturday, Feb. 17.

The team has announced they’ll hold two sessions of open tryouts, with each session being available to a maximum of 54 participants.

The first session that day will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m.; the second session will occur from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tryout will take place inside the Rochester Regional Stadium Bubble at RCTC (851 30th Ave SE, Rochester MN 55904).

“After a great first season in 2017, we’ll be looking to really add to and strengthen the roster,” Med City FC General Manager Frank Spaeth said. “It was such a competitive conference last year that it’s imperative for us to add both depth and quality to our squad.”

Spaeth said that the team will be looking to add 10 to 12 new players to the team, in addition to the 15 players expected to return for the 2018 season.

Players wishing to tryout will have to register. Registration closes on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
