(ABC 6 News) – The Hayfield Vikings football game against the Blooming Prairie Blossoms on Friday has been canceled due to low numbers and injuries at Hayfield.

Hayfield Activities Director Chris Pack confirmed to ABC 6 News that the Vikings cancelled their game due to “low numbers and injuries” on the football team.

The Vikings (0-5 in 2017) are scheduled to host defending Section 1A champion and Class A runner-up Rushford-Peterson on Friday, October 13, but Pack said they’re “not sure at this time” whether or not they will play that game that night.

ABC 6 News will update this story as it further develops.
