(ABC 6 News) -- A California man was taken into custody Thursday, May 18, after some observant TSA agents at the Rochester International Airport say they found a number of drugs in his possession.
According to Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin, 55-year-old Roland Orr told authorities he was traveling from California to Rochester, New York for his son’s graduation, but mistakenly booked a flight to Rochester, Minnesota. When trying to get on a flight to his original destination, authorities say Orr put 1 ½ grams of meth and 1 ½ grams of heroin into the bin at the TSA checkpoint.
Orr was arrested and taken into custody at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center and is facing a fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance charge.
Two months ago, TSA agents at the Rochester International Airport made a drug discovery from another man from California. You can view that story here.
