The beginning of this week has us reaching for jackets. The end of this weak will bring shorts and flip-flops. A stark contrast from beginning to end of the week is near as we leap into Summer. It'll mark our first taste of summery humidity levels and temperatures in the middle 80s.
Add a slow moving frontal boundary into the equation and we're likely looking at periodic bouts of showers and thunderstorms. This all looks to kick off early Wednesday after a partly cloudy and 75 Tuesday.
The initial synopsis doesn't point to severe weather ingredients adding up for a big threat. Though, thunderstorms are fully expected in the Wednesday-Saturday stretch. A few of the initial waves surround the overnight period, arriving early on Wednesday, then again Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. While the setup isn't much for severe weather, the storms will be slow moving and the atmosphere will be ripe with moisture. A big slug of rainfall is expected. If a few of these heavy soakers move over the same area, it could mean some localized high water issues. It's a situation we'll be monitoring in this soggy stretch.
