Steele County Courthouse Moving Operations due to Water Pipe Break

(ABC 6 News) - A water pipe broke in the Steele County Courthouse in Owatonna.  Because of this, the courthouse is closed until further notice while repairs are made.    

The Steele County District Court will have to move its operations temporarily until the damages are repaired.  The District Court plans to move court proceedings and administration to the Owatonna Fire Hall.  The Fire Hall is located at 107 Main Street in Owatonna.  Judges and administrative staff will also be provided for at the fire hall.  The fire hall is providing space for two courtrooms.


All those that have cases with the court this week will be contacted directly by the district court administration.  Hearing notices further out will reflect the change in the location from the courthouse to the fire hall.
