(ABC 6 News) -- A 2-year-old boy with cancer was given a reason to smile Wednesday in Austin.

Santa Claus surprised Drew Becker at his home on 10th Street Northwest. Drew suffers from Stage Four Neuroblastoma.

The surprise was put on by a stranger to the family, who wants to remain anonymous. The woman says she had experienced hardship in her life and when she saw Drew’s story on Facebook, she wanted to do what she could to make his Christmas special.

Drew’s mom, Heidi Becker, says it’s been a hard week after learning he hasn’t been responding to treatment.

“This was a great surprise,” Heidi said. “With Christmas just a few days away, it's been fun to have some great things happen and to look forward to.”

Drew’s family is hopeful they will have other options for him. In the meantime, he is off treatment and is enjoying being a kid. You can find his story on his CaringBridge site here

A GoFundMe Page is also raising money for the family.
