(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester Police say they have a person of interest following a break-in at a Rochester apartment.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, a resident in the apartment complex on the 600 block of East Center St. said she saw a woman enter an apartment she knew was not theirs.  The woman told police she confronted the woman as she left, who told her she was “looking for her girl”.

When the man who lives in the apartment arrived home, police said he found turpentine poured on the floor and the oven turned on.  Authorities also said a pillow had been written on with glue.

Rochester police said “the girl” the suspect was looking for may have been a former tenant.

The suspect is described as a black female, in her teens to early 20’s, around 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, with shoulder-length hair and was wearing a Vikings jacket.   She allegedly took off in a dark-colored minivan.  Police do have a person of interest and said the investigation is ongoing.
