(ABC 6 News) -- One person was arrested following a two vehicle crash on south Broadway in Rochester.

According to Captain John Sherwin, police responded to 17 crashes during Thursday’s winter storm.  One involved a collision at the intersection of 20th Street and south Broadway around 5:23 p.m.

A driver in that collision, 59-year-old Timothy Alvis Gayles, Sr., was taken into custody because he had a domestic abuse no-contact order with the female who was a passenger in his vehicle, which is a felony.  Captain Sherwin said Gayles is also facing a gross misdemeanor charge of driving after cancelation – inimical to public safety.

Rochester police also responded to four traffic-related incidents, Thursday, for drivers sliding of the road.
