According to Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin, the first robbery occurred at the El Buen Vino Liquor Store on 1831 24th St. NW around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.

Sherwin says the clerk described the suspects as three black males in their late teens or early 20's wearing dark facial masks and one was wearing a blue Nike sweatshirt.  The clerk said one of the suspects was holding what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the register be opened. The clerk told police the second suspect was also holding a handgun and the third appeared to be a lookout.

Several hundred dollars was reportedly taken.

Sherwin says the second robbery happened near the Godfathers Pizza on 60th St. and 25th Ave. NW around 4:45 p.m.

A Godfathers delivery driver told police he was sitting at the intersection when two men wearing dark clothing approached the car.  The victim told police one suspect opened the passenger side door and stuck a gun to his side, the second suspect opened the driver side door, pulled the victim out and began searching him for money.

The victim said the two men then stole the car.

The victim described the suspects as two black men with thin builds, around 6 ft. tall and wearing black clothing. The victim told police both suspects appeared to be armed.

Police later recovered the stolen vehicle about a mile from where the robbery occurred.

Sherwin says a third armed robbery happened around 5:30 p.m. at the Motel 6 off West Frontage Road and Highway 52.

The front desk clerk told police two black men in dark hoodies came into the motel, demanded money at gunpoint and took off with under $200.

The victim described one of the suspects as being around 5 ft. tall, the other around 6 ft. tall, with one wearing blue Nitro gloves.

A fourth armed robbery was reported to police around 6 p.m. from the Fairfield Inn and Suites off of 17th Ave. NW.

In this robbery, four black males armed with multiple handguns entered the hotel.  Sherwin says one of the suspects pointed a gun at the clerk's head and forced him into a back room area.

According to surveillance video, one of the suspects was wearing red Converse-type shoes, the second was wearing black and white Nike Lebron shoes and a third appeared to be wearing black Timberland boots.

Sherwin says witnesses believed to see the men leave in a red or maroon Pontiac G6.

Several hundred dollars was reported as stolen.

Police say a fifth alleged armed robbery took place at a residence in Rochester Friday morning and may be tied to the other four robberies.

In this case, Sherwin says an 18-year-old man reported that he was robbed of over $1,000.  The victim told police he was leaving the Quarters Apartments on the 800 block of 21st Ave. SE when he was approached by two black males.  The pair claimed they had a handgun but none was displayed. They forced the victim back into his apartment before robbing him.

Sherwin says a total of seven different robberies were reported in Rochester over the weekend and police believe possibly five were related  based on the pattern of the crimes and suspects description.

Police said there were no injuries during the robberies and the suspects are still at-large.

The Rochester Police Department is asking anyone with information about these robberies to contact law enforcement.
