(ABC 6 News) -- Olmsted County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Rochester man Wednesday evening after he allegedly violated a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order.

According to Captain Scott Behrns, 55-year-old Dennis Nelson was involved in a domestic assault incident in November 2017. He was arrested and a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) was issued.

Capt. Berhns said Nelson has violated that order multiple times since January 8.

Authorities got word that Nelson was at a home on the 100 block of 3rd St. SE in Oronoco. Deputies went to the home, set up a perimeter, and made contact with a woman in the home, according to Behrns.

Deputies went inside the home and, according to Capt. Behrns, found Nelson hiding under a bed in an upstairs bedroom. He allegedly had a machete under the bed and wouldn't listen to deputies' commands. Deputies tased Nelson, who then apparently listened to authorities and was arrested.

Deputies say they found 2.6 grams of meth on Nelson. He is facing a felony charge for violating the DANCO order, as well as a drug charge.
