(ABC 6 News) -- Police are investigating two armed home invasions early Tuesday morning. In both cases, police say the suspects broke into the homes and threatened the people inside using handguns.

According to Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin, the first incident happened around 4:45 a.m. on the 1500 block of 6 Ave SE in Rochester. A 23-year-old man told police he was sleeping when he woke up to at least three people in his home. The victim told police the people pushed him down and put handguns in his face. About 20 minutes later, another robbery happened at the Eastridge Apartments on the 2000 block of 17th St. SE. In that case, a 21-year-old man and a 72-year-old man woke up to people in their home. The older gentleman was pushed around a bit, according to Capt. Sherwin, and the 21-year-old was pistol-whipped.

In the second case, the suspects took several boxes of tennis shoes, a laptop, a cell phone and several hundred dollars in cash.

Not long after these incidents, officers stopped a vehicle in the area with two people inside who matched the descriptions of the suspects, said Capt. Sherwin. When the officers pulled the vehicle over, they say they saw the TV and other stolen items in plain sight in the vehicle.

Police arrested 21-year-old Teekajwok Oman and 21-year-old Ali Gombo, both of Rochester.

The suspects were being questioned Wednesday morning. According to Capt. Sherwin, neither the suspects nor the victims were being very cooperative.

According to Capt. Sherwin, Oman and Gombo could face charges of 1st-degree burglary, aggravated robbery, and possession of stolen property.
