(ABC 6 News) -- On Wednesday, November 8, the Rochester Police Department's Criminal Interdiction Unit was doing surveillance near a storage unit on the 2900 block of South Broadway.

According to Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin, the team was looking for 38-year-old Brian Vangrevenhof in connection with an assault case from a few days ago.

Capt. Sherwin says the team saw Vangrevenhof near a storage unit with a woman. The team happened to recognize the woman, because there was a warrant out for her arrest for failing to appear. Capt. Sherwin identified the woman as Lisa Phillips.

Capt. Sherwin said the CIU team saw Phillips walk into a Wendy's across the street from the storage unit. When the CIU team went inside, they say they found her coming out of a bathroom. She allegedly had an ounce of methamphetamine on her. She was arrested for the drugs and the warrant.

Police then searched Vangrevenhof's storage unit and said they found an ounce of meth and evidence of drug sales. He was arrested in connection with the assault case as well as the drug sales charge.

Both Phillips and Vangrevenhof are facing a 1st degree sales of methamphetamine charge.
