Rochester Woman Accused of Threatening Man, Children with Knife

(ABC 6 News) -- A 37-year-old Rochester woman was arrested Friday night after police say she grabbed a 12-year-old girl by the throat, and then grabbed a knife and bit a man who tried to stop her. 

According to Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin, the woman, 37-year-old Heidi Corley, had been out drinking with a 38-year-old man.

The two then went to an apartment on the 1500 block of 8 1/2 Street SE, said Sherwin. . 

Capt. Sherwin said Corley grabbed a 12-year-old girl by the throat. When the 38-year-old man tried to intervene, Corley allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened the girl, the man and a 14-year-old boy. 

The man told police he was concerned that Corley had a knife because she had allegedly stabbed him in the past. Capt. Sherwin said the man got the knife away from Corley, but she allegedly bit him in the chest, causing him to bleed. 

Police arrested Corley who is facing charges of 2nd degree assault, terroristic threats, and multiple counts of domestic assault.
