(ABC 6 News) - The Rochester Chamber of Commerce has named Kathleen Harrington as its interim President.
Harrington recently announced her retirement from Mayo Clinic where she led government affairs efforts.
Harrington will take over for former Chamber President Rob Miller, who recently resigned amid accusations of improper behavior. An internal investigation into the accusations is still ongoing.
Chamber Board President Lisa Clarke said in a statement today, "we are used to adapting quickly to changing situations and finding a way to continually move forward. Over the past weeks, your Chamber’s Board and Executive Committee have worked diligently to navigate our path forward."
Clarke went on to say, "Kathleen knows Rochester and our region well. She’s adept at working the intersections where the interests of business, government, and civic life reside. I know you will find her a strong communicator and collaborator who will lead member advocacy and facilitate member involvement."
