(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester Police are investigating an armed robbery in southeast Rochester on Tuesday, January 2.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m., the victim called police after two men robbed her at gunpoint while she was walking home near Riverside Central Elementary School on 5th Avenue Southeast.

They stole her phone and purse before taking off.  

Officers searched the blocks near the school but did not find any suspects in the area.

On Wednesday, January 3, Rochester Police released information on the victim's description of the suspects.

According to Captain John Sherwin, the woman said both men were "scrawny", around 18-19 years of age and around 5'5".  She said the man who was holding the gun was black, and wearing a tan jacket and dark colored hat.  Captain Sherwin said she wasn't able to get a good look at the other man.
